Can a positive drug test alone convict me of a Rhode Island prescription drug DUI?

No. The state has to prove both that the drug was in your system AND that you were impaired at the time of driving. Many prescription drugs stay detectable in blood or urine long after the impairing effect has worn off. A positive test alone, without impairment evidence, is not enough.
